Nautical academy in Bizkaia

A young company with great experience

Although many of you already know us, POLARIS NAUTIKA ESKOLA is a family business, relatively young, but with deep roots as a nautical academy in Bizkaia. The company, mainly a nautical academy, was born in 2016 but has extensive experience in this nautical sector, since we have been dedicated to nautical-sports training since 1986 in various centers in the Mediterranean and the Bay of Biscay. Since that first promotion in September 2016, a few years have passed. We have grown a bit since then, but we maintain the same familiar and close treatment with all our students.

Complementary activities

In addition to the activity as a nautical academy in Bizkaia, where you can obtain each and every one of the sailing titles, we also offer the possibility of enjoying different experiences and getaways with our boats, the Polaris Bat and the Polaris Bi.

Within these experiences and getaways we do not want to forget our skippers and patrons and we always find some activity that can serve you to continue learning, once you have your nautical title, in an eminently practical way and enjoying sailing through our waters.

And soon we want to expand our services, mainly focused on our students, with the nautical management service. A perfect complement for all students who, after obtaining any title of skipper, take a step forward and decide to also become a shipowner. Our intention is to make any procedure that you have to do with the administration easier and simpler and avoid complications and headaches that may cause you.

Our crew

Headlining the school we have Héctor. Pilot of the merchant navy and currently preparing for a doctorate in Nautical Engineering at the University of the Basque Country. Hector acts as a skipper both in the practical classes of the courses taught, as well as in the experiences and getaways that we offer on board our boats.

Nekane is the owner and ensures that the boats are always ready to go sailing and in the best conditions. In addition, it takes care of all the marketing and advertising issues so that you can see us and follow us on the main social networks.

And a little grumethyl has recently joined our crew. Ariane has begun this year her Bachelor’s degree in Nautical and Maritime Transport, which is taught at the headquarters of the Bilbao School of Engineering in Portugalete. At the moment Ariane is already Pilot of Recreational Boat. Although he only does administrative work, we hope that he will complete his studies and perhaps one day come to take command of our fleet.
